TimeZone Settings
It would be nice to set a timezone, so the statistics are synchronized to our local time. Right now the statistics on sendgrid and our local statistics disperses

Thanks for your input on adding a time zone feature to our statistic reporting. We are always looking for ways to enhance the data we provide to our clients and we will consider this as a possible additional feature. Thanks again.

yes I got the same problem now.... so the report is not working properly

Same problem here. We are trying to marry up metrics gthat we have internally that are based on daily, weekly and monthly stats. We can't do this as qwe can't set the timezone (we are based in New Zealand).
Also the dates are in m/d/y format when you should be able to set the locale so it formats dates in the the proper format (d/m/y for NZ and most of the world)
We really need this if the stats are to be really effective. -

This is currently in the works.
Please note that the Email Activity page is configured to display on your computer's time, and the Event API posts in UNIX time, so those are both good ways of getting accurately-timed data. -

Hi Jacob,
Any idea when this is planned for release?
Many thanks -

There is not currently a release date set; this has been rolled into our website overhaul, so it's definitely in the works.

In Email Activity, the times are in my locale time zone, while in the Email Reports Bounces List, timestamps are in some US timezone.
Need a little consistency there. I guess it's part of the same problem
Edit:
Also in Email Activity, there is date with different format:
Email history Start date 12/07/2011 (in us format ?)
and date of entries are like 2011/12/13 11:04:34 i.e ISO 8601 format
but that's an half baked iso format because the standard use '-' instead of '/'
PLEASE, please, use the same date format on the SAME page.
If you use the iso format, be fully compliant (??) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601 -

The Email Activity page has been pushed to show in your computer's reported format, but the rest of the pages are in Central Time; we're working on updating these.
I'll take your note about proper formatting to them also, thanks. -

Any progress on this? We're based in New Zealand, but we have actions that trigger emails from around the world. It would be nice to have it parse the date in the email that is sent out, and convert to UTC when stored in the database, then display in the timezone of the person viewing the statistics.
i.e. An email sent in the USA (+9GMT) at 5pm on Wed 1st, would show up for someone viewing stats with an NZ timezone (+12GMT) as having been sent at 2pm on Thu 2nd.
Doing it that way makes the most sense to me. -

This is in our backlog to complete; the core effort is in getting all of our servers on UTC. After that, our web team can set up the interface on the site.
However, if you're looking on the Email Activity page, that it already doing this: the data is stored in UTC, and the event is displayed in your computer/browser's time zone. -

Please can you setup the sendgrid system so that it uses a common timezone mechanism, ideally on a per user basis and set by the user, for all the apps, reporting and newsletter functions. A case in point is it can be confusing to schedule a newsletter send in PST but have it report the sending time in "central" time. This is confusing for those not from the USA.
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Set all the apps, reporting and newsletter functions in Sendgrid to be based off the same timezone. -

Being able to set the statistics table to report on Australian dates is very important to us, so +1 from us too.
